WASHINGTON – Reuters: “Meta Platforms”, “TikTok” and “YouTube” face judicial scrutiny in the United States this week, due to accusations that they contribute to exacerbating a mental health crisis among young people, as the national debate about children’s screen time enters a new phase. The scrutiny in California Superior Court in Los Angeles comes after a 19-year-old California woman, identified by the letters KGM, filed a lawsuit in which she said she was addicted to the platforms affiliated with the three companies at an early age, because of their attractive design, according to court records.
