Houthis threaten to resume attacks on ships, Kataib Hezbollah recruits suicide bombers

The Houthis operating in Yemen said they would support Iran in the event of a possible American or Israeli strike, threatening to resume attacks against international shipping on the southern approaches to the Suez Canal.

Houthi channels have been posting videos of previous strikes they have carried out on commercial shipping. The image is accompanied by the caption: “Coming soon.” Let us remind you: during Israel’s war against Hamas, the Houthis launched more than 100 attacks on ships, and the territory of the Jewish state was also attacked.

Earlier, threats were made by the Iraqi Shiite group Kataib Hezbollah, which is considered part of the Iraqi armed forces, but in fact is subordinate to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. She said that any attack on Iran would cause “total war” in the region.

The Iranian opposition website Iran International claims that Kataib Hezbollah has begun mobilizing suicide bombers for participation in a future conflict and publishes a photo showing men in funeral robes signing documents.

Note: US President Donald Trump, in an interview with the Israeli TV channel Keshet-12, said that the situation with Iran is “still unstable.” At the same time, he refused to answer the question which of the options proposed to him by the team of advisers he prefers.

He said that the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln had arrived in the area of ​​responsibility of the US Central Command in the Middle East. President Trump noted that the US military armada off the coast of Iran is already significantly larger than the one that was formed near Venezuela.

At the same time, Trump did not rule out the possibility of a diplomatic settlement of the conflict with Iran. “They want to make a deal. I know that. They’ve called many times. They want to talk,” he said. However, he did not specify what could become the subject of negotiations with Tehran.
