France supports the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as between Turkey and Armenia,” the French Foreign Minister stated today in Ankara, after meeting with his Turkish counterpart.
Jean-Noel Baro insisted that these developments will positively affect the prosperity of the region. Baro also noted that “the partnership between Turkey and France is extremely intensive”, adding that French companies have invested 3 billion euros in Turkey in recent years. “Although sometimes there are disagreements, we always try to find a common language,” he said.
The Turkish Foreign Minister, in turn, spoke about the negotiations with the European Union. “We exchanged ideas about how we can overcome the impasse in Turkey-EU relations and what can be done in this regard,” said Hakan Fidan.
