Russian President Vladimir Putin received the President of the United Arab Emirates, Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in the Kremlin and made a statement regarding the “Palestinian state.”
“You and I have repeatedly discussed the state of affairs in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone and joint efforts to rectify the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip. But, of course, the fundamental issue is the formation of a full-fledged Palestinian state that would coexist in a world of security with Israel,” Putin said, noting that, in his opinion, such a policy “will make it possible to achieve a sustainable settlement and ensure long-term stability in the region” (quoted from the report) TASS).
