Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held telephone conversations with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. According to the Azerbaijani side, Bayramov assured his interlocutor that Baku would not allow the use of Azerbaijani airspace to conduct any military operations against the Islamic Republic.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the aggravation of the situation in the region and exchanged assessments on security issues.
Tehran has previously repeatedly stated that it will consider the provision of territory or airspace of neighboring countries for attacks on Iran as a hostile step and reserves the right to retaliate.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan maintains close ties with Israel, including in the field of military-technical cooperation.
