Iran: head of the National Security Council speaks of “progress” towards “negotiations” with Donald Trump

Ali Larijani, secretary of the highest security body in Iran, reported on Saturday “progress” with a view to “negotiations” with the United States, at a time when Washington is not ruling out the military option against Tehran.

“Contrary to the war propaganda artificially created by the media, the establishment of a negotiating framework is progressing,” wrote in Persian on X Ali Larijani, who was received in Moscow on Friday by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On Saturday, Donald Trump shared a post on his Truth Social network indicating that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were “in panic mode”, accompanied by a video.

US President Donald Trump said on Friday that Iran wanted to “make a deal” on nuclear power, adding that he had given Tehran an ultimatum without giving further details.
