Suren Papikyan received the Chief of Defense Staff of India

Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan received Chief of Defense Staff of Indian Armed Forces, General Anil Chauhan.

According to the RA Ministry of Defense, Chauhan expressed the readiness of the Indian armed forces to continue the development of cooperation in the existing directions and to initiate new directions of mutual interest.

Papikyan highly appreciated the current level of cooperation between Armenia and India in the field of defense, emphasizing the regular implementation of cooperation programs.

They also discussed a number of issues related to regional and international security.

Indian Ambassador to Armenia Nilakshi Saha Sinha also participated in the meeting.

The delegation led by General Anil Chauhan arrived in Armenia yesterday.

Armenia along with USA and France for Indian weapons is one of the three largest importersthe Indian agency ANI noted earlier.

The Times of India last month reportedthat the first batch of Pinaka missiles was delivered to Armenia.
