The killer from Slovenia was found in Vrbovsko after two days of searching

According to the circumstances established so far, the victim came to visit her sister with her family that afternoon. Around 6 pm, 44-year-old Borislav Bojani returned home, allegedly after hunting with friends. All participants in the event were allegedly under the influence of alcohol. After the hunters left, the family discussion soon turned into a serious conflict.

The suspect went on vacation for a while, but around 8:30 p.m. he returned to the living room, where the argument escalated again. In a state of anger, he climbed upstairs, followed by his adult son. The son then noticed that the father had locked himself in the room and heard the sound of bullets being loaded into the magazine.

When the 44-year-old man left the room, he was holding a gun in his hands. The son tried to stop him, and the first shot was fired into the ceiling. In an attempt to disarm him, there was a physical conflict, and at that moment the 43-year-old victim also went upstairs to help the young man. Despiteč after that, the suspect managed to fire two more shots, one of which hit the man in the chest and was fatal.

After the shooting, the suspect ran away from the house, while his son managed to take the weapon. The police seized several firearms and ammunition at the scene of the incident and immediately launched an intensive search that soon spread beyond the borders of Slovenia.

After two days of escape, the suspect, a 44-year-old Slovenian citizen, was arrested in Croatia. As reported by the Primorsko-Goranska Police Department, police officers from the Vrbovsko Police Station arrested him yesterday, February 2, in the area of ​​Vrbovsko.

A European arrest warrant was issued for the man at the request of the District Court in Novi Mesto, due to criminal proceedings related to the crime of murder. Upon completion of the police procedure, the detainee was handed over to the custody supervisor.
