Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced on Tuesday that the country will investigate late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s possible relationship with Russia, following the release of files that suggest a link to Moscow intelligence.
Tusk told a government meeting that authorities would create a team to investigate any possible repercussions of Epstein’s crimes in Poland, in particular regarding what he said was possible involvement by Russian intelligence services.
“More and more clues, more information and more comments in the international press point to the suspicion that this unprecedented pedophilia scandal was co-organized by the Russian intelligence services,” said the prime minister, suggesting that the Russian intelligence services may have compromising material against “many leaders still active.”
Since the release of the new documents by the US Department of Justice, suspicions have grown that Jeffrey Epstein may have acted as a spy in the service of Moscow.
More than a thousand documents revealed in recent days, mainly conversations with unidentified people, mention the dictator Vladimir Putin and more than nine thousand make some mention of Russia.
One of the files even suggests that Jeffrey Epstein may have met Putin personally during a trip, even after his 2008 conviction.

One of the files even suggests that Jeffrey Epstein may have met Putin in person during a trip, even after his 2008 conviction. In an email dated September 11, 2011, an anonymous sender discussed plans for a “meeting with Putin” on Epstein’s next trip to Russia.
“I talked to Igor. He said that the last time you were in Palm Beach, you told him that you had an appointment with Putin on September 16th and that he could book your ticket to Russia to arrive a few days before you,” says the email.
In another conversation, dated May 2013, Epstein wrote an email to Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland, saying he wanted to help Putin and Russia “reinvent the financial system.”
And another note sent in 2014 suggested a new meeting between the Russian and the financier.
