Axios: Iran demanded to change the location of the negotiations and their format

Journalist Barak Ravid notes that Iran’s new demands, as well as two incidents in the Persian Gulf and the Arabian Sea, may push the president to abandon an attempt to resolve the situation diplomatically.

According to Axios sources, the Iranians do not want other countries in the region to participate in the negotiations and would like to have one-on-one talks with the Americans. Sources believe that this is due to the fact that the Iranians want to limit the discussion to the nuclear program, and not touch on the missile program or support for Iranian proxies in the region.
