Fars: Khorramshahr-4 ballistic missiles deployed in underground “cities” for the first time

A report from Fars, an IRGC-affiliated agency, claims that Khorramshahr-4 reaches speeds of up to Mach 16 outside the atmosphere and about Mach 8 in the atmosphere, and the time it takes to reach Israel’s borders after launch is estimated at about 10-12 minutes.

The Khorramshahr-4 (also known as Khaybar) missile was officially introduced in 2023. The declared range is about 2000 km, the warhead is about 1500 kg (in some publications there are also higher estimates for the mass of the warhead).

Let us recall that in June 2025, the IDF attacked the warehouses where these missiles were stored.

It is noteworthy that the IRGC announces the deployment of long-range ballistic missiles in underground fortifications a day before expected negotiations with the Americans – at a time when the United States insists, among other things, on curtailing the Iranian missile program.
