Italy wins in an ice hockey hall that has not yet been completed

The hall currently holds more than 12,000 spectators. After the games, the capacity will be increased to around 16,000.

Previously, in the same preliminary group, the German ice hockey women’s Olympic comeback after twelve years of abstinence had failed. National coach Jeff MacLeod’s team lost the first preliminary round game in another hall in Milan 1:4 (1:1, 0:2, 0:1) against Sweden. On Saturday the German women will play against Japan, then against France (Monday) and Italy (Tuesday).
