Accordion at the center of the aperitif concert at the Heemkring Circle

The historic pub Den Aker in the municipal park turned out to be the ideal location to perform classical instruments such as the violin, guitar and organ piano. Because twice the café was completely full with interested spectators.

The series continues on Sunday, February 8, with a performance by Jef De Haes and he cannot be separated from his accordion. From a village square to a concert hall, he plays a wide range of genres. This ranges from lively melodies to melancholic tunes.

Jef De Haes started at the Lier music school at the age of nine and later obtained his master’s degree with the greatest distinction in Leuven. The accordionist has since performed in Germany, Scotland, the Netherlands and Italy, among others.

As a European renowned artist, he has already won several international prizes. The teacher at the Luca School of Arts, he is also asked worldwide as a jury member.

On Sunday he will give a house concert in Lint at 11 am. The doors open at 10 am and entrance is free. A free contribution is requested for the musician. Due to the success of the past editions, the board of the Heemkring recommends arriving on time, because full is full.
