Iran, new missile deployed in underground base

Lavrov: “Explosive situation, we won’t stand by and watch”

”The situation is explosive” and ”Russia does not intend to impose itself as a mediator”, but ”it is monitoring” what is happening with Iran and ”it will not remain indifferent”, indeed it is ”ready to contribute”. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov declared this when speaking about the Iranian crisis in an interview with RT. ”Iran is our close partner and we will not stand idly by as the situation evolves in the region,” he added, underlining that ”the situation is explosive not only for Iran, but also for the entire Middle East”. Lavrov also explained that ”Russia is willing to take the reserves of enriched uranium that Tehran has in excess if and when an agreement is reached between Iran and the United States”.
