After the sale of Zvijezda and Dijamant, the Forten group continues to sell companies from the group that are outside the retail business. This time, the most desirable company from this group, Jamnica Plus, and the only remaining major production company from the agro segment – PIK Vrbovec – are being sold, writes Jutarnji.
– The company PIK Vrbovec plus is owned by the Fortenova group. At the moment when we have relevant information for the public about its purchase and sale, we will communicate it transparently. Also, at the moment there is no process of selling the company Jamnica plus, but the interest on the market for this company is continuous – Fortenova told Jutarnji.
Jutarnji claims that the most likely buyer is Bosqar Invest. Riverč is about the company founded by the spouses Stjepan Oresković and Manica Pirc Oresković, which had both IPO and SPO and, with the strategic partnership of the MID Europe fund, is growing rapidly thanks to acquisitions.
In recent years, two large companies have taken over the food segment – Slovenian Panvita and Mlinar. Bosqar Invest’s food vertical, Future Food, is based on the hundred-year experience and tradition of Panvita, a prominent Slovenian agricultural and food group, and Mlinar Group, one of the largest bakery groups in the Adria region.
As they point out, the goal of that vertical is to position itself as a leader in the game. in the food industry of Southeastern Europe through strategic acquisitions and sector consolidation in the region. Regarding the takeover of PIK Vrbovec plus, Bosqar Invest immediately replied that, in accordance with company policy, they do not comment on ongoing M&A processes and do not confirm or deny speculations related to potential takeovers. In this case, they were asked to take over PIK Vrbovec.
