Ghislaine Maxwell offers Trump to clear her name in exchange for a pardon

Ghislaine Maxwell, accomplice of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has offered through her legal team to clear the name of US President Donald Trump in exchange for a pardon, as she is sentenced to 20 years in prison for trafficking minors in the pedophile ring led by Epstein.

“Ms. Maxwell is willing to talk about everything, honestly, if President Trump grants her a pardon,” said lawyer David Oscar Markus, during Maxwell’s telematic appearance before the House of Representatives Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, statements later published on social networks.

The lawyer has pointed out that “only she can give all the information.” “Some may not like what they hear, but the truth is what is important. For example, that both President Trump and President (Bill) Clinton are innocent,” he explained. Markus stressed that “Ms. Maxwell can explain why on her own and the public has the right to that explanation.”

At the beginning of the appearance, Maxwell has invoked the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution to avoid testifying and thus avoid incriminating herself after being summoned by said commission as the controversy grows over the publication of Epstein’s files, which collect information that affects dozens of politicians and personalities from numerous countries around the world.

BUY A PARDON

In response, congressional Democrats have accused Maxwell of trying to buy a pardon with his refusal to testify. “We will not allow this silence to continue,” said Democratic Representative Melanie Stansbury.

Meanwhile, victims of Epstein’s network urge congressmen to take with “the utmost caution” any statements by Maxwell in a statement published before the appearance. “We urge the Commission (…) not to allow this process to become another vehicle to harm or silence the survivors” of the plot.

The letter, collected by CNN, warns that Maxwell has repeatedly lied under oath and has refused to identify the powerful men involved in Epstein’s trafficking network.

“Ms. Maxwell was not a peripheral figure. She was the central and indispensable architect of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking enterprise,” they denounced. “Despite this, he has refused to collaborate with the security forces or provide credible and complete information about the scope of the trafficking network,” they added.

Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on charges of sexual abuse and trafficking of dozens of children in the early 2000s. The billionaire at some point rubbed shoulders with personalities such as Prince Andrew of England – brother of Charles III -, Bill Clinton and current President Donald Trump. He was discovered hanged in his cell.
