“Navalny killed with frog poison”, the investigation and accusation against Putin

Possible breakthrough in the mystery of Alexei Navalny’s death. London claims it has evidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the poisoning of the opposition leader, who died two years ago while detained in a penal colony in Siberia.

The lethal substance of the indigenous tribes of South America

According to the UK, Navalny was poisoned with epibatidine, a lethal toxic neurotoxin which is found in arrow frogs that live in Ecuador. Indigenous tribes in South America use the toxin in blowguns when hunting. This poison is 200 times stronger than morphine. The findings of the investigation will be submitted to the United Nations chemical weapons watchdog, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The UK and its allies worked ‘with iron determination’ to establish what really happened to Navalny, British Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper said.

Russian dissident’s widow: “Putin is a murderer”

“I was certain from day one that my husband had been poisoned, but now there is proof: Putin killed Alexei with a chemical weapon,” the dissident’s widow, Yulia Navalnaya, wrote in X. “I am grateful to the European states for the meticulous work they have done over two years and for having revealed the truth. Vladimir Putin is a murderer”, she added, repeating the version supported by London.

“Scientists from five European countries have established it: my husband, Alexei Navalny, was poisoned with as an epibatin, as a neurotoxinone of the deadliest poisons on earth. In nature, this poison is found on the skin of the Ecuador dart frog. It causes paralysis, respiratory arrest and a painful death,” he summarized when announcing the discovery during a press conference together with the foreign ministers of the United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands.

The four countries with France collaborated to establish the causes of Navalny’s death at just 47 years old. ”It’s hard for me to find the right words,” Navalnya said.Putin is a murderer. He must be held accountable for all his crimes“.

Navalnaya was at the Munich Security Conference when news of her husband’s death broke on February 16, 2024. ”It was the most horrible day of my life. I went on stage and said that my husband, Alexei Navalny, had been poisoned. What else could happen with Putin’s number one enemy in a Russian prison? But now I understand and know that it’s not just words, now we have scientific proof.”
