Iran will be ready for compromises if the US discusses the issue of lifting sanctions. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs

Iran will be ready to reach an agreement on the nuclear program with the United States if Washington lifts the sanctions, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said in an interview with the BBC.

“We are ready to discuss this and other issues related to our (nuclear) program, if they are also ready to talk about sanctions,” said the Deputy Foreign Minister.

“Those sanctions should also be on the discussion table,” he noted, adding that “the ball is in America’s court to prove that they want to make a deal.”

Takht-Ravanchi did not specify whether he was referring to some or all of the wide-ranging sanctions imposed by the United States in recent years, which target the banking system, oil exports and other sectors.

US and Iranian diplomats held talks last week with the mediation of Oman. At the same time, the US president sent a fleet of naval forces to the region.
