“The entry of the Azerbaijani delegation into Armenia, demarcated by the land border, is an important symbolic and practical step in terms of strengthening trust. This shows that the peace process goes not only to a theoretical but also to a practical level,” the member of the “Bridge of Peace” initiative said, according to the APA Azerbaijani news agency, emphasizing that the continuation of such a format can play an important role in creating an atmosphere of long-term stability and mutual trust in the region.

A bilateral “round table” was held in Armenia on February 13-14 within the framework of the “Peace Bridge” initiative, during which the representatives of civil societies of Armenia and Azerbaijan met.

“Peace opens up new opportunities for economic cooperation, unblocking regional communication, improving the investment environment and increasing the well-being of the peoples of the region. Civil society plays an important role in presenting these advantages to the public and building public support,” said Iskanderli, adding that the meeting in Tsaghkadzor once again demonstrated the importance of dialogue, direct communication and stable contacts for strengthening the social foundations of the peace process.

Earlier, on November 21-22 last year, the representatives of Armenian civil society visited Baku. At that time, together with the representatives of the political society of Azerbaijan, a decision was made to name the initiative “Peace Bridge”.
