Bura after Thompson’s concert in BiH: ‘Children are raised in an atmosphere of NDH and fascism’

Peleg expressed deep concern with this behavior and publicly called on the authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to take concrete steps against the glorification of totalitarian regimes. We have been warning about the consequences of this kind of policy for years, but this does not reach the awareness of those who would have to react by law. This ‘Ustaša village’ finally opened the eyes of many and exposed the politics that raise young people in such an atmosphere – said Đulić for Radiosarajevo.ba.

He warns that the iconography from the concert is irresistibly reminiscent of the 1940s and the time of the NDH. Đulić he also notes that after the concerts, graffiti appeared throughout Herzegovina insulting other peoples and calling for the restoration of the NDH, which he considers a direct attack on the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Request for an urgent reaction of the institutions

The president of SABNOR criticizes the security structures and prosecutor’s offices for ignoring these phenomena. According to his words, the atmosphere at the concert confirms that many actors are in the service of “another country”, calling them “domestic traitors”.

Đulić asked the Federal Parliament and the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina to urgently initiate a debate on modern-day fascism. He demands that the state make clear conclusions and determine itself according to anti-fascist values, saying that otherwise they will invite citizens to declare for themselves what kind of state they want to live in.
