From Ukraine, yes from the Senate to confidence

The Senate renewed its confidence to the government by definitively approving the Ukrainian decree with 106 votes in favour, 57 against and 2 abstentions. The text contains the extension of the authorization for the transfer of military vehicles, materials and equipment to Ukraine, the renewal of the residence permits of Ukrainian citizens and the safety of freelance journalists.

Zelensky grateful to von der Leyen for the 90 billion aid package

Volodymyr Zelensky expresses his gratitude to the leaders of the European Union for having launched a 90 billion aid package for Ukraine. “We have taken another important step towards a real financial guarantee of our security and resilience within two years,” the Ukrainian president wrote on X, “I am grateful to Ursula von der Leyen, Antonio Costa, Roberta Metsola and all EU leaders who made all this possible.”

“Yesterday, the President of the European Parliament signed a legislative package for a support loan to Ukraine of 90 billion euros,” Zelensky recalled. “This is a truly significant guarantee and it is vital that this decision works for Ukraine as quickly and effectively as possible. Thank you to everyone who is working to make it happen.”
