“The far right and the right have been announcing the end of this government since day one, now even spreading rumors about my health“, wrote the Spanish socialist leader again. “The mud machine always works in the same way – continues Sanchez – they launch the rumor through a pseudo media and then their deputies relaunch it and their experts muddy the public debate”.
Reiterating that he does not have cardiovascular diseases, Sanchez adds that if he had them “there would be no problem: there are millions of people who suffer from them and lead a normal life thanks to the public services that you dismantle”, he said with a dig at the cuts to public health implemented in the regions governed by the People’s Party. “If the only way to make opposition is through lies then we are doing a really good jobthis government will remain in office for a while”, concludes the Spanish Prime Minister, referring to the natural end of the mandate in 2027.
