Epstein files, Clinton’s testimony: “I didn’t see anything”

The former president then anticipated that during his deposition he will “often” find himself answering “I don’t remember” to deputies’ questions, considering the years that have passed since his interactions with Epstein, and predicted that this will be considered “unsatisfactory” by Republicans.

“Simply unfair”, he then defined the behavior of the Republican majority of the House Oversight Committee who called his wife Hillary to testify. “She had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein, and has no memory of even meeting him“, said the former president. “That you summon 10 or 10 thousand people including her is simply unfair”, he concluded.

Hillary Clinton’s offensive

The hearing follows that of his wife Hillary Clinton, who during the six hours of testimony rejected any personal involvement and politically attacked Donald Trump.

The Republican president of the commission, James Comer, who used all means, including the threat of an indictment for contempt of Congress, to force the former presidential couple to testify before the commission of inquiry into the Epstein case, predicted a testimony “even longer” than that of his wife, referring to the numerous times in which she replied “I don’t know, you have to ask my husband”.

In an attempt to avoid the depositions, seen as a political move by Republicans, the Clintons last month sent an affidavit saying they had “no personal knowledge” of any of the “criminal activities” of Epstein and his partner Ghislaine Maxwell.

Yesterday Hillary was able to point out that she “has no memory of meetings with Epstein, I have never flown on his plane, visited his island or his office”, before pointing the finger at a politicized commission that forced her to testify “to distract attention from President Trump’s actions and cover up the legitimate requests for answers” regarding the years of friendship and association between the tycoon and the pedophile financier.

But for Bill the situation is different. It is in fact proven that the former president flew dozens of times between 2002 and 2003 on Epstein’s plane, he himself admitted this by explaining that the billionaire had “offered him a plane large enough to accommodate the entire staff and bodyguards of the Secret Service on trips for the philanthropic work of the Clinton Foundation”.

Trump accused Clinton of going to Epstein’s infamous island in the Caribbean dozens of timesthe center of the sex trafficking network’s activities, but the former president denies ever having been there, a circumstance confirmed by some emails published by the Justice Department and by the testimony that Maxwell gave to the Trump administration’s deputy justice minister last year in prison where he is serving a 20-year sentence.

In the affidavit, Clinton later admitted that Epstein was able to attend some events at the White House during his time in office, “and be photographed as I was with tens of thousands of other people,” adding, however, that she “does not recall meeting him, or having any specific interactions, while I was president.” And finally he says he “does not remember speaking to Epstein for over a decade prior to his 2019 arrest”, referring to the arrest on federal charges, which occurred a few weeks before the financier’s suicide in prison, which occurred more than 10 years after the plea deal in Florida for soliciting child prostitution.
