Sharp condemnations in the Gulf – and the rift in the West following the attack

The combined and extensive attack by the United States and Israel on the territory of Iran provoked a wave of reactions around the world, revealing a deep rift in the international community and within the Western bloc itself. While some countries support the effort to curb the Iranian nuclear project, the unusual and aggressive response of the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, who openly opposed the move, stands out. In the western arena there is an almost uniform front – UK, France andGermany (the E3 countries) issued a joint and unequivocal statement stating that Iran must immediately stop its nuclear program.
