Iran threatens Israel and US after attacks

The government of Iran declared that he will give a “historical lesson” to Israel and to USA after attacks on Iranian cities this Saturday (28). Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi stated that bases supporting Israeli operations could become direct targets.

“As we have already stated, any base anywhere in the region that assists Israel will be targeted by the holy Islamic Republic and our armed forces, and we will not hesitate to attack it,” Shekarchi said.

Iranian officials said the military response involved launching missiles at Israeli targets and US-linked positions in the Middle East. The Israeli Army confirmed a new wave of projectiles fired from Iranian territory in the last few hours. Explosions occurred in different countries in the region, including United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar.

Earlier, sources heard by the news agency Reuters reported that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is not in Tehran. There are no details about his whereabouts. State news agency IRNA said the Iranian president was safe.

Iran’s Foreign Minister declared that the country “may have lost some commanders” in an interview with NBC. Sources cited by Reuters stated that the attacks killed the Iranian defense minister and the commander of the Revolutionary Guard.

US and Israeli attack on Iran leaves 201 dead, according to Iranian press

The coordinated attack by the United States and Israel against Iran left 201 dead and 747 injured. The numbers were published by the Iranian press based on information from the Red Crescent humanitarian network.

United States President Donald Trump declared that the aim of the new action is to destroy Iran’s nuclear program and protect American citizens from threats. US military officials said the operation could last several days.

“We will ensure that the regime’s terrorist proxies can no longer destabilize the region or the world, and that Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon. This regime will soon learn that no one should challenge the strength and power of the United States military,” Trump said on social media.

This is the second US military offensive against Iran in less than a year. In June 2025, a US operation bombed Iranian nuclear structures in support of Israel, which was in direct confrontation with Tehran.
