Media: US and Israel attacked more than 2,000 targets in Iran

Since the beginning of the military operation against the ayatollah regime in Iran, the United States and Israel have struck more than 2,000 targets. This assessment is published by The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

Last night, the Israeli army published a 24-hour report for Operation Roar of the Lion. The IDF report said that in the first 24 hours of the operation, the Israeli Air Force flew more than 700 sorties and used thousands of munitions, achieving air superiority over Tehran. Numerous targets were claimed to have been hit, including ballistic missile launchers, headquarters and air defense systems. According to the army, Israeli air defense systems and aircraft intercepted dozens of missiles and more than 50 drones launched from Iran towards Israel.

On the evening of March 1, IDF spokesman Brigadier General Efi Defrin said that Israeli forces were “systematically dismantling key regime systems” and had completed a “massive wave of strikes against Tehran,” during which more than 100 fighter jets attacked the “central headquarters” of Iranian security forces. The statement spoke of the defeat of command posts associated with ballistic missiles and UAVs, as well as the continuation of the “hunt” for launch sites in real time.

US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that more than 1,000 targets were hit in Iran during the first 24 hours of Operation Epic Fury. The liquidation of the IRGC headquarters has been announced.

As noted earlier, at least 40 senior leaders of the Iranian regime, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, were killed in the first hours of the joint Israeli-American military operation.
