According to the survey results Reuters/Ipsos Conducted on March 1, about 43% of respondents in the US expressed opposition to the campaign to attack Iran, 27% approved and 29% were uncertain. About 90% of them knew information about the attacks on Iran starting on February 28.
56% think that President Trump is too hasty in choosing military solutions to promote US interests. 87% of Democrats, 23% of Republicans and 60% of people with no party affiliation gave the above opinion. Mr. Trump’s approval rating decreased slightly, from 40% in the February 18-23 survey to 39%.
The survey also showed that 55% of Republicans approved and 13% opposed the campaign against Iran. 42% of Republicans said they would be less supportive of the operation if it killed or injured American soldiers in the Middle East.
45% of participants, including 34% of Republicans and 44% of people with no party affiliation, said they would less support the campaign if gasoline prices in the US increased.
Reuters/Ipsos said it collected responses from 1,282 people in the US, with an error rate of 3%.
