The Lebanese government banned Hezbollah’s military activities

The Lebanese government has announced the ban on the military and security activities of the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement. This unprecedented decision was announced by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam after Israel launched strikes in response to Hezbollah’s rocket attacks.

“Hezbollah” fired rockets and drones at Israel early in the morning to take revenge for the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei as a result of joint strikes by the US and Israel.

In response, Israel bombed the southern suburbs of Beirut and dozens of settlements in southern Lebanon, vowing that the group would pay a “heavy price”. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 31 people were killed and at least 149 were injured.

After the emergency session of the government, Salam announced: –
“The Lebanese state absolutely and unequivocally rejects any military or security operations carried out from the territory of Lebanon, which are not carried out within the framework of legitimate state structures.”

Justice Minister Adel Nassar also announced that the law enforcement officers were instructed to arrest the persons and organizers involved in the launch of the rockets.

The Lebanese authorities have announced that they do not want to get involved in the regional war, which began after the US and Israeli strikes against Iran.

Salam also called on the cease-fire guarantors, the United States and France, to force Israel to stop strikes across Lebanon, and said the government was ready to resume negotiations with Israel under international auspices.
