Iran attacked Qatar’s energy infrastructure

Qatar’s Ministry of Defense said two Iranian-launched unmanned aerial vehicles attacked energy infrastructure facilities located in the industrial center of Ras Laffan, 80 kilometers from Doha.

“One of the drones hit a water reservoir, the second hit a facility owned by Qatar Energy. There were no casualties. As for the damage, a report will be submitted after verification,” the statement said.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Majid al-Ansari, announced the prevention of an Iranian attack on civilian infrastructure, including Doha International Airport. “These actions will not go unanswered,” he said.

Earlier, an Iranian Shahed-136 drone struck an oil refinery located in the city of Ras Tanura, on the Saudi coast of the Persian Gulf.

A fire broke out at a facility owned by Aramco, which was brought under control. The staff was evacuated and work had to be stopped.

We are talking about a significant escalation of the conflict on the part of Iran. The strikes demonstrate the ayatollah regime’s determination to energetically blackmail the international community.
