Hezbollah Secretary General: “We will continue to fight. Israel is a threat to the entire region”

The Secretary General of the Shiite terrorist organization Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, spoke publicly for the first time since the beginning of the war. In his speech, he stated that Hezbollah will continue its military operations against Israel. “Our fight is not connected with any other war. Our demand is an end to Israeli attacks and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Lebanon,” he said.

Naim Qassem said that Hezbollah had until recently complied with the terms of the ceasefire agreement, while Israel had not complied with any of its terms. “Israel is a threat to the entire region. We agreed to give diplomacy a chance, but in 15 months it has not brought any results.”

The head of Hezbollah promised that his group will “fight to the last and will not give up.”

Naim Qassem appealed to the Lebanese government to fulfill its obligations and ensure the sovereignty of the state. He demanded that Hezbollah not be stabbed in the back and called for cooperation with his organization, which he said was protecting the Lebanese from Israel.

“As long as the occupation exists, armed resistance is the legitimate right of the Lebanese people in terms of domestic and international law, and this is also in accordance with the Lebanese constitution,” he said.
