Iranian Foreign Minister: “We did not ask for a ceasefire and do not seek dialogue”

Asked if he was concerned about the possibility of ground forces being used, he replied: “No, we’re expecting that. We’re confident we can counter them, and that would be a disaster for them.”

Abbas Araqchi said Iran did not ask for a ceasefire. “The fact is that we have a negative experience in negotiations with the United States. Especially with the current administration. We negotiated twice, last year and this year, and then in the midst of negotiations they attacked us. Therefore, we see no reason to enter into dialogue with those who are dishonest.”
