US President Donald Trump, speaking to Latin American leaders at a summit in Florida, said that the US military had “taken out of action” 42 Iranian military vessels and a significant part of Iran’s air force.
“Everything is going very well here in Iran, you can see the results,” he said.
Speaking about Iranian leaders, he noted: “They are bad people, just bad people.” He stressed the need for a military operation, explaining this by the terrorist attack on October 7 and “the killings that they have been committing for 47 years.”
Trump said Iran was very close to developing nuclear weapons and would have received them eight months ago if not for American strikes on nuclear facilities during the 12-day war last June. “They’re crazy and they would use him,” he added, “so we did the world a favor.”
