Green youth probably wanted to force Palmer out of the election party

Palmer reported to “Spiegel” that he was approached by two young men shortly after entering the foyer of the Stuttgart State Gallery. which he “clearly” assigns to the Green Youth. They told him that he was harming Özdemir – that no one had invited him and that he should disappear.

The mayor of Tübingen was previously a member of the Green Party himself, but left the party in 2023 after heated controversy and allegations of racist statements. Palmer has been controversial within the party for years.
