Iran launched a missile attack on a German troop camp in Jordan

On the night of March 10, a German military camp located at the Jordanian Al-Azraq base was subjected to an Iranian missile attack. According to Der Spiegel, the soldiers were not injured because they were in a shelter, but the barracks were damaged.

It is unclear at this stage whether the missile exploded or whether debris fell after being intercepted. It is noted that the American military is also stationed at the base. It is covered by US air defense systems and is considered relatively safe.

Over the past years, the Bundeswehr has maintained a permanent presence in Al-Azraq. Thus, refueling aircraft participating in the actions of the coalition against the Islamic State are based here. Due to the escalation of the situation, some of the personnel were evacuated even before the war.
