Among these, the highest level ever of female employment achieved in Italy, a goal of which I am particularly proud. There is still a long way to go, but the goal is clear: remove obstaclesguarantee equal opportunities, allow every woman to fully express her value. This is, perhaps, the most authentic meaning of March 8th”, he concludes.

Put it to the women who struggle, be unstoppable

On the occasion of Women’s Day also the president of the european parliament, Roberta Metsolaposted a message on social media: “A toast to all those who have fought against all adversity and to those who continue to fight. To all those women who have built families, created businesses, raised generations, become champions, have made a career, have entered politics, have lived their truth, have come forward. To all those who manage to find the balance between everything every day.”

“To all those who are underestimated, denigrated, feel ignored, who receive little recognition for all they do and yet rise above. To those who struggle or are still forced to live in fear: keep moving forward, you are unstoppable. Today and every day we honor those who have come before us, while making the path easier for those who come after” he concludes.
