Business as usual in Tehran: the senior Iranian regime marches without fear

At the time of the IDF and US strikes in Iran, senior regime officials appeared at the heart of the “Iranian Jerusalem Day” marches in Tehran • Despite President Trump’s direct threats just a few hours ago, President Pazkhian and the top of the security establishment chose to march openly while surrounded by civilians – in a move that was seen as an attempt to create a show of immunity and control of the situation • Watch the documents

The show of immunity of the top of the regime: At the height of the war against Israel and the US, and contrary to any operational logic of hiding, today (Friday) the senior officials of the Iranian regime chose to demonstrate complete immunity. Just a few hours after President Trump issued a direct threat that “scum from Iran will see what will happen to them today”, the Iranian elite – from the president and the foreign minister to the secretary of the National Security Council – went out to march openly under the sky during the events of “Yom The Iranian Jerusalem” held every year.

The images streaming from Tehran are not accidental – they are intended to create a presentation of control over the situation, two weeks after the opening blow by Israel and the US that eliminated the supreme leader and the top of the regime. Despite the heavy military pressure and the explicit threats to their lives, the senior officials did not retreat to underground bunkers, but went to the city center accompanied by only a few security guards. It seems that the Iranian message is clear: they feel protected in the hearts of the surrounding masses of citizens them, which creates a “human iron dome” that allows them to move around unhindered at the same time as the Air Force attacks.

The sting to Trump and the message to the West

As for the IDF attacks aimed at the areas of the marches, Larijani defined them as “a sign of the Zionist regime’s desperation”, adding that the military operations do not succeed in deterring the public or its leadership.

Police Chief Radan said during the march: “The people came today to tell the enemy – we are not afraid of you. The people responded to the sound of the explosion by chanting ‘Allah Akbar’. In the eyes of the frustrated enemy, the people will not leave the arena, and victory is near.”

Attacks during the Iranian Jerusalem Day

Iranian Foreign Minister Arakchi was interviewed by the Iranian media: “Today is the Iranian Jerusalem Day and despite the savage attacks carried out by the Zionist regime and the United States this very day, at this time we are facing an influx of millions of people. Not only in Tehran, but in all cities. And this testifies to the firm desire of the Iranians to support the Islamic Republic, the issue of Jerusalem, Palestine and all the ideals we have had over the years and have brought us to this point. With God’s help, we will continue with the same strength and power, and force our enemies to admit the strength of the Iranian people.”
