An American KC-135 crashed in Iraq: six crew members died

The American Central Command has confirmed the death of all six members of the crew of the KC-135 crashed yesterday in western Iraq. “The circumstances of the accident are under investigation,” Centcom said in a statement.

Centcom assured that the air-to-air refueling Stratotanker was not hit by enemy or friendly fire. A second aircraft was involved in the accident and landed safely.
The version provided by Tehran is different. The Guardians of the Revolution claimed yesterday that they had shot down the plane with a missile.
