Iran International: About 300 commanders of Iranian Basij forces killed in night strikes

As Iran International has learned, as a result of a series of night strikes on key command and operational centers of the Iranian Basij forces, about 300 commanders and officers were killed.

Apparently, the strikes targeted the force structure that had long been used to suppress anti-government protests.

During one of the strikes, a Basij repair and technical unit was hit. The facility housed hundreds of vehicles and motorcycles used for street operations and neighborhood patrols. Initial reports indicated that the entire fleet was destroyed.

The strikes targeted targets associated with the Mohammed Rasulollah Corps, a unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps responsible for Tehran and its suburbs.

The Imam Hadi Security Unit, a strategic command center in Tehran, also suffered severe damage.

The Imam Ali Security Battalions, which played a central role in suppressing recent protests, also suffered significant losses in personnel and equipment.

The Basij units are part of the armed structures of the terrorist regime of Iran, a paramilitary volunteer force within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
