Palestinian women killed in Iranian missile strike

According to Palestinian reports, three women were killed in an Iranian missile attack in the West Bank. Seven other Palestinian women were injured, one of them in mortal danger, the Palestinian Red Crescent said. According to the Wafa news agency, a beauty salon in the town of Beit Awa, southwest of Hebron, was hit.

Upon request, the Israeli army confirmed that there had been a rocket strike in the area. According to the military’s findings, it is an Iranian missile – and not an interceptor missile or parts of it. According to media reports, cluster munitions that have been frequently used by Iran and are largely banned internationally may have hit the salon.

Iran is actually not attacking Palestinian targets, but Israeli targets. However, rockets or parts of them continue to fall in Palestinian areas. In an Iranian attack on Israel in 2024, a Palestinian in the West Bank was also hit and killed by rocket fragments. The man originally came from the Gaza Strip.

While there are many bunkers and shelters in Israel, this is not the case in the West Bank. In addition, there are no warnings of missile attacks.
