Pakistani Information Minister Attaula Tartar announced that Pakistan would suspend military operations against Afghanistan for five days in connection with the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which ends the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

“This was done at the call of the brotherly Islamic countries: Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar. But any cross-border attacks, terrorist attacks and drone strikes will entail a resumption of intense military action,” he warned.

The current Taliban government in Afghanistan also announced a cessation of hostilities as of last midnight.

Let us recall that on March 17, the Afghan authorities accused Pakistan of attacking a rehabilitation hospital for drug addicts in Kabul. Government spokesman Hamdullah Fitrat said preliminary data indicated that 400 people were killed and 250 injured.
