At least two dead in Russian attacks on Ukraine

A man and a woman have been killed and two girls have been injured by the impact of a Russian projectile in the city of Zaporizhzhia, in the south of the country, according to Ukrainian authorities. Six other people have been injured in other Russian attacks in that same region.

In addition, Russia has attacked the Chernigov electricity supply line, its governor, Vyacheslav Chaus, has reported. In total, kyiv has reported 154 Russian drones detected, of which 148 have been shot down.

For its part, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has reported attacks against Ukrainian regions under Russian control in Mariupol and Donetsk.

Meanwhile, Russian authorities have reported 283 Ukrainian drones against Russian territory last night, some of them directed at Moscow. In addition, they have caused damage and some injuries in the cities of Saratov and Engels.

A total of 21 drones have been destroyed while en route to the Russian capital, explained the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobianin. “The emergency services are working at the place where the remains have fallen,” he noted on social networks.

In Saratov, two people have had to receive medical attention and several buildings have been damaged, as reported by the regional governor, Roman Busargin, on social networks. “The drone attack has caused damage to several buildings in Saratov. There are broken windows. Two people have needed medical attention,” he noted.

Two other people have been injured in Ufa, capital of Bashkortostan. There has also been a drone attack against Engels that has caused damage to civil infrastructure and broken windows in several buildings.

The Russian Defense Ministry has highlighted that most of the attacks were directed against the Rostov region and its governor, Yuri Sliusar, has confirmed about 90 downed drones.

There have also been attacks in the regions of Bryansk, Smolensk, Kaluga, Belgorod, Voronezh, Volvograd, Tula, Ryazan, Kursk, Samara, Tatarstan and Crimea.
