Iran, missiles scare Europe (and Italy): “Tehran can strike”

According to the United States, Tehran’s missile capabilities are reduced to almost zero. Yet, the Islamic republic continues to raise the bar, literally. Two missiles are aimed straight at the Anglo-American base on the island of Diego Garcia, in the Indian Ocean: a target 4000 km awayhitherto considered out of reach. One missile was neutralized by technical problems, the other was intercepted: the basic fact is that the launch was carried out with the belief that it would reach the target. The potential scope of war suddenly widens.

Israel: “Europe in danger”

“The Iranian terrorist regime launched a long-range missile capable of reaching a distance of about 4,000 km for the first time. During the June 2025 Operation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed that the Iranian regime intended to develop missiles with a range of 4,000 km, which pose a danger to dozens of countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. The Iranian regime has denied this claim. We have been saying it for a long time: the regime Iranian terrorist poses a global threat. If for the United States the war could be approaching the final stretch, given that Washington has referred to a window of 4-6 weeks, for Israel the picture appears markedly different. The missile that fell in Arad shakes the country and pushes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to close ranks: after “a very difficult evening”, says the Prime Minister, we will continue to strike the enemy. “It is a very difficult evening in the battle for our future. We are determined to continue to strike our enemies on all fronts,” he says. This is echoed by the Israeli Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir: “We are halfway through the campaign, but the direction is clear. In about a week, on the occasion of Passover, the holiday of freedom, we will continue to fight for our freedom and our future.”

The successfully launched missiles are a test of strength for Tehran: “If the Israeli regime is unable to intercept the missiles in the heavily protected Dimona area, this constitutes, from an operational point of view, a signal that the battle has entered a new phase: the skies of Israel are defenseless. Consequently, it seems that the time has come to implement the next plans already prepared”, announces the president of the Iranian parliament, Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf.
