The IDF eliminated Hezbollah trumpeter Ali Sha’ib

The IDF spokesman said: “The IDF eliminated Ali Sha’ib – a terrorist in the intelligence unit of the Radwan force of the Hezbollah terrorist organization who operated for years under the guise of a journalist. The terrorist Ali Hassan Sha’ib served as a terrorist in the Hezbollah terrorist organization under the guise of a journalist on the ‘Al-Manar’ network, who consistently worked to reveal the location of IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon and on the border, and was in continuous contact with other terrorists in the Radwan Force unit in particular and the terrorist organization in general.”

“In addition, the terrorist acted as an incitement against the IDF forces and the citizens of the State of Israel while using it as an axis for the distribution of Hezbollah’s propaganda materials,” the IDF stated. “Even during the ‘Roar of Harry’ operation, he continued his activity and reported on the location of IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon. The IDF will continue to act strongly against the terrorist organization Hezbollah, which decided to join the campaign and operate under the auspices of the Iranian terrorist regime and will not allow harm to the citizens of the State of Israel.”

• Shaib, a “journalist” for the Al-Manar network in southern Lebanon, has become over the years one of the voices most identified with Hezbollah on the border with Israel.
• He operated within a media mechanism that is an integral part of the organization itself, al-Manar, Hezbollah’s television network, which serves as a central tool in building consciousness, mobilizing legitimacy, and conveying messages during combat.
• In the field, Shaib was a regular presence at the most sensitive points of friction in southern Lebanon, sometimes at a short distance from the border. He documented incidents in real time, broadcast from the scenes of an attack, and sometimes seems to arrive at the scenes almost at the same time as the events themselves, evidence of his close proximity to Hezbollah.
• For years, Shaib served as Hezbollah’s eyes and ears along the border: reporting timely incidents, highlighting vulnerabilities in Israel, and conveying messages intended not only for the Lebanese public but also for the Israeli side. Sometimes while creating a sense of deterrence through the very transmission from the front line.
• His proximity to the area and sources in the terrorist organization allowed him to be the first on the incident more than once, but also made him an integral part of the awareness campaign. He has been seen over the years as someone who serves Hezbollah’s narrative and as someone who echoed Hezbollah in real time.

• Shaev began his journey in the early 1990s. In 1992 he documented Hezbollah Secretary General Abbas Mousavi hours before his assassination by the IDF.
