Ukraine, Italian-French mission in Chernobyl 40 years after the accident

The mission intends to update the strategic theory of information warfare “in vivo”, directly analyzing the Ukrainian theater. The goal is to study information warfare in the field, meeting the key players who are shaping Kiev’s response to hybrid threats and disinformation. The delegation will interact with public institutions, strategic analysis centers and independent information bodies. On the other hand, while Europe is still debating its doctrine on information interference, Ukraine boasts a ten-year operational advantage: this mission aims to document this expertise and strengthen ties between European and Ukrainian specialists.

The analyzes will focus in particular on the Chernobyl area, transformed into a unique case study in the world. Today Chernobyl is not just historical memory, but an active laboratory of global security, where residual nuclear risk, military threats (missiles, drones), forest fires with radiological dispersion, vulnerability of critical infrastructures overlap. The delegation will visit the CNRN unit in Bila Tserkva, as well as the Chernobyl exclusion zone and Pripyat, where the Capri Campus operates a training laboratory for nuclear, radiological, biological and chemical risks.
