Oman’s Foreign Ministry condemned “treacherous and cowardly attacks” on the country’s territory, without mentioning Iran

Oman’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the “treacherous and cowardly” attacks on the country. It stresses that no one has claimed responsibility for the attacks and says it has launched an investigation into their “sources and motives.”

“Oman condemns the ongoing war, acts of violence and military strikes in all countries of the region. At the same time, our country remains committed to the principles based on a position of active neutrality,” the statement said.

On March 28, a port worker was injured in a UAV strike in the Omani port of Salalah. After this, the Danish cargo carrier Maersk announced the suspension of operations in this port.

On the same day, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported striking a ship supporting the US war effort at a “considerable distance” from the Omani port of Salalah. “Iran respects the sovereignty of brotherly Oman,” the IRGC emphasized.
