Attacks lead Israel, Kuwait and Bahrain to activate sirens

In Israel, the country’s Defense Forces said they were acting to intercept missiles launched by Iran. At the same time, the Civil Defense Command sent emergency alerts to cell phones in the affected areas, advising people to go to protected locations.

Shortly afterwards, the Israeli military reported that residents were now authorized to leave the shelters.

In Bahrain, the Ministry of Interior advised the population to seek shelter and remain calm while the alert was raised.

In Kuwait, the official news agency reported that the Ministry of Defense was responding to “hostile attacks with missiles and drones.”

Attacks on Nablus

On Saturday (28), an Israeli defense system intercepted projectiles over the city of Nablus, in the West Bank. The Israeli military reported that it detected missiles launched by Iran towards Israel, several of which hit the central region of the country.

Also on Saturday, Kuwait International Airport suffered several drone attacks. According to the state agency KUNA, the attacks caused damage to the radar system, but left no victims.

A Civil Aviation Authority spokesman later said the attacks were attributed to Iran, Tehran’s allies and Iranian-backed armed groups.
