The US has allowed a ship loaded with Russian oil to enter Cuba

The United States has allowed a ship loaded with Russian oil to enter Cuba despite a fuel embargo imposed by Washington.

“If any country wants to send oil to Cuba now, I have no problem with it, be it Russia or any other country,” Trump told reporters.

“We are pleased that the shipment of oil products has already reached the island,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Russian sources say that the parties are negotiating to deliver more oil to Cuba.

Cuba has been in a severe economic crisis for many years, which has deepened in the last three months due to the oil embargo imposed on it by the United States.

Cuba lost its main oil supplier, Venezuela, when US special forces kidnapped and arrested Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro in January of this year.
