Fuel prices: This is how much diesel and super cost in Europe

Price check after the new price shock. At 12 p.m., the price of diesel at German gas pumps shot to a new all-time high. On average, a liter now costs 2.50 euros. A few seconds before it was 2.41 euros. Gasoline also became more expensive than ever on the seventh day of the 12 o’clock rule. An average of 2.29 euros is now due for a liter of Super. But what do drivers in other European countries actually pay?

BILD reporters filled up at Europe’s gas pumps shortly after 12 p.m. on Tuesday. Read how cheaply the others refill. Only in one case was it more expensive.

Greece: Super 2,065 euros, diesel 1,999 euros

From the prices at the “marketplace” gas station in the Athens suburb of Varkiza (Greece) drivers in Germany can only dream. Super is available for 2,065 euros, Diesel even for less than 2 euros (1,999 euros). The BILD reporter gets 33.9 liters of Super for his 70 euros. In Germany only 30.6 liters would have flowed into his tank.

In Saint-Julien-sur-Sarthe (France) in Normandy, Super costs 1,998 euros per liter. Diesel is still available for 2,325 euros. But most French people aren’t filling up their tanks at these prices at the moment.

England: Super 1,810 Euro, Diesel 2,246 Euro

British humor makes it easier to fill up at London’s petrol pumps. At “Shell” on Tuesday afternoon there was diesel for 1,959 pounds (2,246 euros) and super for 1,579 pounds (1,810 euros). But many Brits stop laughing at the prices.

Netherlands: Super 2,389 euros, diesel 2,639 euros

Our neighbors to the west complain even more than we do about the exorbitant prices at the pump. At “BP” in Amsterdam Netherlands A liter of diesel costs 2,639 euros. Super costs 2,389 euros. The BILD reporter timidly dripped 10 liters of diesel into the tank and paid 26.39 euros – crazy.
