Consumers: recall of date balls due to possible foreign bodies

The Hamburg snack company Foodloose is recalling certain packages of the item “White Delights – Pistachio”. The packs with the batch number J49B0 and the best-before date of October 4, 2026 are affected by the recall. The information should be on the packaging, as the company announced. The item is date balls with pistachio filling.

The recall was published on lebensmittelwarning.de, the portal of the federal states and the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety. According to the publication, the recall has so far affected the following countries: North Rhine-Westphalia, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, Bavaria, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.

Foodloose said it could not be ruled out that individual packages contained a foreign body. This could pose a risk of injury. Customers should refrain from consumption and ensure that children would not have access to the product. According to Foodloose, the company’s other goods are not affected.

According to the company, Foodloose snacks are sold through the drugstore chains dm, Rossmann and Budni, among others.
