Donald Trump refuses to apologize to the “very weak” Pope Leo XIV

The American president, Donald Trumprefused Monday to apologize for criticizing Pope Leo XIV after the pontiff called for an end to violence in the Iran war.

Trump attacked the pontiff on Sunday, who has been highly critical of the Iran war and has launched several calls for peace, accusing him of being “weak on crime and terrible in foreign policy.”

Leo XIV responded this Monday by ensuring that he is not “afraid of the Trump Administration”.

“I will continue raising my voice to build peace,” he told reporters aboard the papal plane.

In addition to the tension with the PapaTrump generated controversy for publishing on his networks, and then deleting, an image in which he was represented as Jesus and which had generated strong rejection from Catholic representatives related to the president until now.

“I thought it was me, as a doctor,” justified Trump to the media after removing the image from social media.

Far from acknowledging the error, he attacked the media and pointed out that “only the fake news media could invent something like that.”

“I make people better,” he added.
